Introduction
On May 25, 2018, the new Privacy Legislation came into effect. This concerns the Privacy Directive (95/46/EC) and the Directive on privacy and electronic communications (2002/58/EC), the national laws implementing these directives and/or, where applicable, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the “General Data Protection Regulation” or “GDPR”). All summarized as the GDPR. This legislation has replaced the Personal Data Protection Act. The GDPR expects a more pro-active role from every organization that processes personal data. Our privacy statement was last changed on June 13, 2019.
Your privacy is of great importance to us, which is why we strictly adhere to privacy legislation in the European Union. Who manages your data?
All personal data is managed by MRS. Within MRS, the data is only accessible to persons who must have access to it in function of their tasks.
We use external processors. This includes that we temporarily pass on data to third parties for certain tasks if we do not have the means for this ourselves. If we do so, we will always ensure that your data is treated confidentially and used in a safe manner. We always record this contractually with the processors. For example, a processor may never use your data on its own initiative and your data must be deleted as soon as a processor has completed its assignment.
We may transfer your personal data to our possible successors and affiliated companies such as subsidiaries and sister companies, for the same purposes as mentioned in this privacy statement.
For some aspects of our products and services, we work with third parties or engage subcontractors. The transfer of your data only happens for the same purposes as with MRS itself. We ensure that they, just like us, manage your data safely and respectfully.

View, correct or delete data?
You have the right to access your data. How long do we keep your personal data?
We ensure appropriate organizational and technical measures to secure personal data. We may not keep personal data longer than necessary to achieve the purpose for which we collect them. The retention period may therefore differ per purpose and sometimes be very short.
After the expiry of the applicable retention periods, personal data is completely anonymized or deleted. We process user data for a maximum of 10 (ten) years after the end of the contractual relationship with MRS, for traffic data that is a maximum of 1.5 (one and a half) years.

MRS reserves the right to monitor all IT systems, physical spaces of the company and/or work-related activities to protect MRS and to ensure the adequate use of MRS’s resources and information resources in accordance with privacy legislation.
